Our Parkinson's Exercise Program is Moving + Why Invigorate PT is Closing
OUR PARKINSON'S EXERCISE PROGRAM IS MOVING + WHY INVIGORATE PT IS CLOSING
exerciseforbrainchange.org/invigorate/
Hello friends,
I announced earlier this year that I would be closing Invigorate’s doors, which has been one of the most difficult decisions I’ve ever made.
My biggest goal before closing was to re-home our 5-week online Parkinson’s exercise program - The Booster Program - so our students would be able to access it moving forward.
I’m so happy to say that we’ve reached that goal!
The Booster Program will now be offered as part of the PWR!Gym’s new Virtual Experience platform that is launching in a few short weeks.
Try the Virtual Member level for free for 30 days (or $50 off any membership level) using the code INVIGORATE30 at checkout:
exerciseforbrainchange.org/invigorate/
This is an incredibly special pairing for me, as Invigorate Physical Therapy and Wellness was “born” at the first PWR! workshop I attended in 2015.
I regularly used PWR! Moves and strategies with my physical therapy clients to help them improve their Parkinson’s symptoms and the training methodology forms the backbone of The Booster Program.
---
IN THIS INTERVIEW with Dr. Cat Printz, PT, DPT (PWR!'s Director of Rehabilitative and Exercise Therapies), we discuss:
2:45 What is the PWR! Gym? What is the PWR! Program?
5:45 What are the PWR! Moves? Why are they good exercises for Parkinson's?
9:26 LSVT BIG vs. PWR! Moves - What's the difference?
14:33 What is the PWR! Virtual Experience?
24:40 What does the free 30-day trial include? (Virtual Member level - use INVIGORATE30 at checkout)
26:39 Where will the Parkinson's Booster Program live inside the PWR! Virtual Experience?
30:25 What are the LIVE PWR! workout classes like?
39:38 Why is Invigorate Physical Therapy and Wellness closing?
45:21 Where have Invigorate's programs have been re-homed?
47:29 Sarah's hope for the future
PWR's Virtual Experience gives you access to:
- Parkinson's exercise classes online
- Parkinson's exercise video library (suitable for most levels)
- PWR! Moves videos to practice at home
- Guided Parkinson's exercise programs and plans (high and low intensity)
- Parkinson's specific wellness information
- Self-assessment tools
Try the Virtual Member level for free for 30 days (or $50 off any membership level) using the code INVIGORATE30 at checkout:

I am an herbalist for 35 years and even though I am not a doctor I have learned through my own research that it is caused by heavy metals. That are interfering with the nerves. There are herbs like Chlorella that neutralize heavy metals. And then they are put out of the body.

Forced does not mean higher effort. It only means higher RPMs due to (the external force of) a stronger rider in front, or a motor on a Theracycle. Floreced exercise is not “whipping” someone to bike harder than they can. Jay Alberts clarifying this: ua-cam.com/video/9a2TCELFQHE/v-deo.htmlsi=DdopTXyXb98Ok0aq @0:52: “…by ‘forced exercise’, we mean a mode of exercise in which your voluntary efforts are being enhanced or augmented … to exercise at a rate faster than they would on their own.”

  • @FlaschDJ
    @FlaschDJ Місяць тому

@28:30 (…Theracycle) helps someone to move at a speed that is faster than what they can generate on their own and maintain that speed for a longer time than they can do own their own” ….. I suggest it’s the RPMs not just the exertion. I love your work and am a long-time subscriber.
